The Dangers of Soy
Did You Know... If you think soy protein is healthy you are being fooled?
Because "soy" sounds so healthy many people have been fooled into consuming products that are harmful. Raw soy beans are not bad for you. However, products containing "soy" or "soy protein isolate" are processed in a way that makes the end product toxic to your body. Soy is also in a list of foods you may have not been aware of: * White flour (all store bought bread) What you end up with is people taking soy products, like soy milk or soy supplements, because they think they are healthy. Then you combine that with the soy they don't know about from the food already in their diet and you end up with way too much unhealthy soy... Consuming too much soy can cause a list of health problems including: * Weight gain How Soy Became a Trend Marketing always affects consumption and lately, as more and more people are becoming conscious of their health, many companies use marketing images as a way to "look" healthy when what's inside the nice packaging isn't really all that good for you... Actually most of the phrases they have used to sell soy - "it prevents heart disease, cures cancer etc" is all a bunch of B.S. There is currently a petition filed with the FDA that will make companies retract these claims from the labels because they are false. The USDA, because of new research conducted, changed its position on soy by saying that soy "does not affect heart disease and does not lower cholesterol..." The soybean was originally used for soy oil. They took apart the bean and took out the oil and turned it into margarines and shortenings and all those liquid vegetable oils. Once the oil is out, what they had left over was a whole lot of unusable, toxic protein. They used to just toss it out... Why is it toxic? Because it comes from soy beans that have been processed in aluminum tanks, washed in alcohol and processed with petroleum products. Does soy, after being exposed to all that toxicity, seem like something you want to put into your body? When you use high quality whey protein supplements instead of soy you will receive the healthy protein you are looking for... Diet Health & Fitness Recommends:
